River Avon water conservation
For this project, the brief was to design a travelling interactive exhibition to change the attitudes of local people towards water conservation in the catchment area of the river Avon in Hampshire. I decided that the best 'hook' to engage people's interest would be a huge area photograph of their local area, raised above the floor on removable legs. Flexible hose 'listening tubes' play voice recordings of a variety of different local people talking about their rivers. Magnifying lenses display typical riverbank finds and double-sided flaps raise interesting issues and questions, related to specific locations on the map.
