The exhibit shows the principle of heating water by way of a heating element (electric energy). In the animated gadgetry a hand moves down and presses the switch of the water boiler. After a given amount of time the clouds will be activated one by one to show that the water is boiling. With the interactive the visitor can generate the tension himself by turning a hand wheel. The longer one turns the hand wheel the more energy is generated and the warmer the heating element becomes. At the same time the different coloured LED's light up to indicate the temperature of the heating element. The original exhibit cost in the region of £9,500 (excluding
