The exhibit of the washing machine consists of one animated gadgetry and two interactive exhibits. The gadgetry clearly shows the full workings of a washing machine. The machine drum turns left and right during several seconds. One interactive exhibit shows the powering of the drum with a fan belt. The visitor can set up several pulley-ratios by positioning elastic drive-belts. Depending on the transmissions completed, the associated LED's on the table top will light up.The other interactive exhibit shows the different pipe systems used in washing machines The visitor can activate and deactivate the different pipe systems by using several press buttons. The direction of the cooling liquid can be seen through the transparent tubes.
