The Windmill Generator is an exhibit where the visitor can experiment
with the amount, and the position of the blades of a fan. Air is blown
across the table by a fan. The visitor can mount another fan blade on
a support that in turn will be driven by the air stream. The rotation
of this blade is counted on a display above the table. The turns are
read out by a reed-contact and two round magnets that have been cast
in the axle of the fan blades.
The original exhibit cost in the region of £7,500 (excluding software). The reserve price is £3,000. Offers over this amount are invited. |
